Spend time volunteering on the ranch with AfricaGap, gain amazing life experiences and wildlife encounters
Through our partnership with AfricaGap, Humani welcomes small groups of international students throughout the year as part of their gap-year programme. Each group spends about two weeks with us, getting involved in daily life on the ranch and lending a hand where it’s needed most.

From painting signs and helping with campsite maintenance to visiting the Humani School to interact with the children, volunteers contribute in simple but meaningful ways. Their time here is balanced with adventure: guided game drives, sundowners at scenic spots, and even the chance to meet Rocky the rhino offer them a true safari experience while learning about life in rural Zimbabwe.

For the volunteers, the programme is a chance to step into a completely different way of life, gaining first-hand exposure to conservation, wildlife, and community in Africa. They form friendships with one another, meet local people, and leave with memories that often last a lifetime.

For our community, the benefits are felt in small but significant ways — from a freshly painted classroom to an afternoon of football with the children.
